Beauty, Fashion and Glamour Lighting Lesson
This lesson is a PDF file that will address two distinctly different lighting techniques that are
used to create vastly different images. The first will demonstrate one
technique that I use to create beauty and hair photographs while the second
will show one way to create a high fashion look. Each lesson will include step-
by-step instructions and diagrams that will allow you to easily recreate what
you see. As an added bonus, you will see a diagram and final image of a
glamour photograph that will tie the various lessons taught together.
Several critical concepts will be discussed during these lessons. The discussion
will focus on digital capture, so the exposure information detailed will help
you maintain detail in your digital images. However, the techniques [and
exposures] described will work beautifully if you are shooting transparency
film too. Still shooting negative film? Not to worry—you’ve got plenty of
“room” to work with so the lessons taught here will help you as well.
